Consultation events on the draft guidance and criteria

In September, the four UK funding bodies held a series of consultation events across the UK. The purpose of these events was to offer higher education institutions the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft framework and assessment criteria from an institutional perspective.

- 14 September: Edinburgh
- 20 September: London
- 26 September: Leeds
Registration for these events was open to individuals from higher education institutions with an interest in the conduct, quality, funding or use of research.

Places were limited to a maximum of two participants per institution. HEIs were responsible for ensuring that individuals were registered for one date/location only.

Other events

The four UK funding bodies also hosted a number of workshops with specific groups during the consultation period in relation to the following:
- Equality and diversity
- Research users
- Institutions new to the REF
